Birthday Weekend

Why my 24th birthday was so amazing:

* No class due to snow!
* James giving me a ride across town through the treacherous snow/slush, so I could nanny and hang with my favorite little kids!
* Birthday dinner with parents and James at the gorgeous Corson Buildling.
* Drinks and cake (gluten-free carrot cake!) with friends.

Weekend

This past year has been so beautiful, thanks to one very important person. I can't even imagine being any happier. The weekend turned out to be a fantastic marathon of fun-- the first snow of the season, lazy mornings, long walks and good food!

Weekend in Los Angeles

I had a fantastic long-weekend in Los Angeles, with my two lovely Australian friends. I loved being able to leave the house with only a sweater, have evening BBQs and go hiking in the morning sun. The more I visit this crazy, wonderful , enchanting city, the more I want to move here!

Babycakes!

I love Babycakes bakery! They simply make the best gluten-free cupcakes that I've ever come across! Their vanilla and chocolate cupcakes are sensational-- I can't believe they're also vegan. Whenever I'm in L.A., I make a point to visit this little gem!

L.A. Coffee

I was rather astonished by the quality of coffee in L.A. It seems like every cafe we visited, especially in the Los Feliz/ Silver Lake area, had outstanding coffee. I loved how all the cafes had this boutique-y feel, yet were really laid back. Nice to have another item to add to the list of reasons why it would be okay if I moved to L.A.
